It's summer and the sun is hot, you want to cool down and you know it's calling your name. With their fun and refreshing flavor, margarita's are a hit during this time of the season. Since its conception, margarita's have evolved much over the years, adding in new flavors and a rather famous slushie version.
What constitutes a margarita? A margarita is a cocktail consisting of tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice often served with salt on the rim of the glass. The drink is served shaken with ice (on the rocks), blended with ice (frozen margarita), or without ice (straight up).
The margarita's conception is hard to pinpoint with many stories stating many different people created this amazing drink. One of the popular ones is the margarita is related to another Mexican drink called the Daisy, remade with tequila instead of brandy!
Las Santas serves a classic margarita by the pitcher, and now has live DJ music on Fridays and Saturdays to keep the vibes high during these hot summer nights!
